For generations, Star Trek has imagined a future in which humanity moves beyond many of the divisions of the present—a future shaped by exploration, cooperation, diversity, and the belief that our differences can make us stronger.

For LGBTQIA+ fans, that vision has held particular meaning. The journey toward authentic queer representation in Star Trek has not always been straightforward, but across generations the franchise and its fandom have increasingly provided spaces to explore identity, challenge expectations, and imagine a future where everyone can belong.

To Proudly Go was created to help bring a little of that future into the world we live in today.

We bring together science fiction, LGBTQIA+ community, drag artistry, charitable giving, and service to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, celebrate who they are, and help others. Through performances, fundraisers, community events, performer support, charitable grants, and partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, we turn the optimism that inspires us into action.

Since 2021, that idea has grown from a small community gathering into more than 200 events and programs, while helping direct more than $16,000 to charitable organizations and community causes. Along the way, our performers, volunteers, supporters, partners, and audiences have helped create a community built around visibility, generosity, creativity, and belonging.

Science fiction asks us to imagine a better future. We believe we can help build it.
